Charles Huang founded Red Octane in 1999 along with his brother, Kai. Humble but incredibly tenacious, constantly bootstrapping and never taking VC funding, Charles guided Red Octane through many pivots to become the company responsible for Guitar Hero, one of the top video game franchises of all time. Guitar Hero eventually became a multi-billion dollar business, and was acquired by Activision in 2006. In this talk, Charles discusses this remarkable journey, and his "never say die" philosophy towards running a business (and life.)
