Today we have a special conversation with the co-founder of Slack, Stewart Butterfield. Butterfield technically serves as the President of Glitch at Slack Technologies. Prior to Slack Butterfield served as the President of LudiCorp Research and Development Ltd. Stewart also directed the 11-member design group at Communicate.com, where he acted as design lead or managed teams on millions of dollars worth of projects for companies like HSBC and Sears Travel. 

He co-founded Flickr at Yahoo! Inc. He has also a long consulting interaction design career, most recently with Telus, the CBC and The Economist. 

He was recently named to the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences and is a nominating judge in the Webby Awards. In 2001, he was nominated for a Chrysler Design Award. 

In 2006, Time magazine’s put him on their list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Stewart received a BA in philosophy from the University of Victoria, and an MPhil in philosophy from Cambridge University.

Guy Kawasaki, Chief Evangelist at Canva. Guy is also a trustee of the Wikimedia Foundation, and executive fellow at the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley. Formerly, he was an advisor to the Motorola business unit of Google and chief evangelist at Apple. 

He is the author of The Art of the Start 2.0, The Art of Social Media, Enchantment, and ten other books. Guy has a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA as well as an honorary doctorate from Babson College.

Nirav Tolia, the Founder and CEO of the neighborhood based social network, Nextdoor.com. Prior to founding NextDoor, Tolia co-founded Fanbase in 2008. Tolia has served as an Advisor and Consultant to aSmallWorld, Simply Hired and Zillow. He served as the Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Director at Shopping.com Ltd. 

Tolia helped create Shopping.com through the merger of Epinions and DealTime where he had been responsible for product development, marketing, engineering, and operations. He co-founded Epinions and served as its Chief Executive Officer from April 2000 to April 2003.

Before that he served in a variety of product and marketing positions at Yahoo! Inc. 

Mr. Tolia received a BA in English from Stanford University.

Today we have a special conversation with Dustin Moskovitz Co-founder of both Asana & Facebook. He is interviewed by NY Times Tech Columnist Katie Benner at our Global Conference in Silicon Valley earlier this year. Dustin co-founded Asana with the mission to help humanity thrive by enabling all teams to work together effortlessly. Prior to Asana, he cofounded Facebook and was a key leader within the technical staff, first in the position of CTO and then later as VP of Engineering. Dustin attended Harvard University as an Economics major for two years before moving to Palo Alto to work full-time at Facebook.

Payal Kadakia, CEO and Co-founder of ClassPass at our Global Conference earlier this year. 

Payal is also the artistic director for The Sa Dance Company. Payal has been a “dancetrepreneur” since the age of 3 when she started training in Indian classical and folk styles of dance.  It was her passion for dance, entrepreneurship, and making the world a more active, happy place that led to the founding of Classpass. ClassPass is a membership program for fitness classes across multiple gyms and studios, making working out more engaging, accessible, and affordable. 

Prior to founding ClassPass, Payal worked as a consultant at Bain & Company and in Warner Music Group’s Digital Strategy and Business Development Group. Payal also has a degree from MIT in Operations Research and Economics.

Co-founder and CTO of Youtube Steven Chen. 

Born in August 1978 in Taiwan. Raised in Taiwan, Chen and his family immigrated to the United States when he was 15. After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Chen worked at PayPal, where he met Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim. 

In 2005, the three founded YouTube, a website designed to simplify video sharing online. YouTube quickly became one of the web's fastest-growing sites, and was ranked as the 10th most popular website just a year after its launch. There are reportedly 100 million clips viewed daily on YouTube, with an additional 65,000 new videos uploaded every 24 hours. Chen currently serves as Chief Technology Officer and was named one of the "The 50 people who matter now" by Business 2.0 magazine in 2006. That year, he and Hurley sold YouTube to Google, Inc. for $1.65 billion in stock.

Rob Solomon CEO of GoFundMe, prior venture partner at Accel, and previous President of Groupon. 

As venture partner at Accel, he advised their portfolio companies on a wide range of strategic and operational issues. Rob's most recent operating role was as President and COO of Groupon during the company's hyper-growth stage. He helped scale the company from 100 to more than 5,000 employees. Rob also served as CEO of Sidestep, where he led the company's turnaround and merger with Kayak. At Yahoo, he ran the commerce business unit. He has also served in various product, marketing and investment roles at Electronic Arts, Technology Crossover Ventures, Cendant, GolfWeb, Zaplet, and others. Rob has a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of California, Berkeley. He is an active investor in technology startups, and he serves on the board of directors of the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA.

Tim is the founding partner of the leading venture capital firms Draper Associated and DFJ. Tim’s early success came with the suggestion to use viral marketing in web-based email to grow one of the original web mail services and one of his first investments, HotMail. The technique has since been adopted by hundred of businesses. 

Tim recently launched "Six Californias," a statewide initiative to create six new states and dissolve a failed one in California. Previously, Tim served on the California State Board of Education. In November of 2000, Tim launched a statewide cyber-initiative on school choice for the California General Election. Tim was a Member of Singapore's International Economic Council and Ukraine's Orange Circle. 

Tim was on the Board of U.C. Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Tim was also ranked 52 on the list of the 100 most influential Harvard Alumni, and seven on the Forbes Midas List. 

Tim has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
