Reggie Aggarwal is the CEO and Founder of Cvent, a publicly-traded cloud -based software company focused on event management. Aggarwal led Cvent from a two-person startup to a 1,450-person company with a $1 + billion market capitalization. Cvent has helped more than 12,600 organizations manage hundreds of thousands of events in more than 90 countries.

 

In today’s episode Reggie talks about the the literal ups and downs of raising $17 million and within a few years facing bankruptcy as a 33 year old entrepreneur living in his parent’s basement. He talks about what he believes enabled Cvent to overcome these challenges and make it to IPO.
