Eric Migicovsky is the CEO and founder of Pebble Technology, the company behind the Pebble smartwatch.

After incubating his idea for the smartwatch in the Y Combinator program, Eric launched a campaign on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. Within two hours of going live the company's initial goal of $100,000 had been reached. After six days the project had become the most successful Kickstarter project in history, reaching over $4.7 million with 30 days still left in the campaign. 

George Zachary joined Charles River in 2004 with 20+ years of operating and investing experience in computing and consumer technology. George's focus is on building consumer internet and infrastructure companies. Previously, he was a general partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV).

This episode features Sam Altman, President of Y Combinator. Sam was cofounder and CEO of Loopt, which was funded by Y Combinaor in 2005 and acquired by Green Dot in 2012. At Green Dot, he was the CTO and is now on the Board of Directors. Sam also founded Hydrazine Capital. He Studied computer science at Stanford, and while there he also worked in the AI lab.

A travel-obsessed serial entrepreneur, Sam previously founded and was CEO of, a travel deals search engine, and was CEO of, a hotel reviews site. SideStep acquired and Sam stayed on as VP of business development until its fortunate acquisition by Kayak. Today he is CEO of HotelTonight, an app that lets you get the best room and at the cheapest price on last minute reservations.
